If I drive out the roll pins, will I be able to put them back in?
I want to soak the rods in Evapo-Rust and then coat them with Rust-Block.
After removing the retractable caster from the Shopsmith, I noticed I'd have to remove roll pins from both rods to be able to fit just the rods into a tray of solvent.
So, what size drift should I use to remove and then replace the pins and are the pins reusable?

I restored a set of retractable casters for a 10ER. Most of the roll pins came out intact, but a few got mangled up and I replaced them with new ones. After wrestling to get the first set taken apart, I bought a cheap set of roll pin punches which helped quite a bit when I put the first set back together and to take apart the second set.
My advice is to take lots of pictures and mark the parts before taking the casters apart so you can get them put back together again. Also, do one set at a time so you have a model. For the ER set, the holes were not real precise in the rods, so the parts needed to be reassembled just as they were taken apart.
I used EvapoRust in a caped PVC pipe to soak the rods and then put them in the chuck of my ER and used some sandpaper to remove the rest of the rust and polish them up a bit. Here is the results. One set restored, one set not:
