Thanks to all of you that replied to my query about tablets.
After reading every post, I think that maybe this less than savvy old man will just replace the laptop with another one. It seems that many of the features I enjoy with this laptop might not be easily available in a tablet....yet.
Without all of your informed input, I would have made a costly mistake. I am grateful for all of your time and and information.
Thanks again!
Any tablet suggestions?

This what I have.

It goes for $399.99 for the pad and $149.99 for the keyboard dock. Office Max had them on sale for $349.99 for the pad and $99.99 for the keyboard dock. I ended up having Best Buy price match so it was nice to get the $100.00 off.
Mine is the 32gb plus I have a 32gb mico sd card. Thats plenty but it I want more memory there is also a slot for a regular size sd card and also a usb port if I wanted to add memory stick or anything else that uses usb.
I WANTED to buy an Ipad and be an Apple owner (price wasnt an issue) but I'm just to used to the Android and I would have to Jailbreak the Ipad to do alot of what I can already do on an Android. Plus my phone is also an Android. The Ipad does have some nice features also but it comes down to the "at the end of the day" saying lol

I'm looking to replace my desktop and I can't decide desktop or laptop and what power I really need.
HP build to order, it is as powerful as 99% of all the single processor desktop around today.
Today you can get 16 or more gigabytes of memory and solid state or hybrid drives. If you can live with 128 gigabytes I would strongly recommend a solid state drive, if you need more get a hybrid 7200 RPM drive. I got a dedicated video card because my kids wanted to play Diablo 3 and this is one area laptops lag behind desktops. Because on a desktop you can spend $1,000's of dollars and get insane graphics, on a laptop you are limited to one chip and have lots of power and cooling issues. That said the Radeon graphics on my laptop is incredible and blows any integrated graphics (laptop or desktop) away.
