What are these used for?
Got these years ago with a used SS. I don't have a clue what they are for.

Look like the Shopsmith's early holddown. You might have some brackets that go with them. Shopsmith called it the Universal Holddown for the 10ER. I believe they also sold it for the early Mark 5's. Here is the first page of the 10ER version's instructions.db5 wrote:Got these years ago with a used SS. I don't have a clue what they are for.

I have a version that might have been from sears or perhaps another place. I had these back when I had my rockwell table saw, early 1970's.
The brackets are mounted to a sacrificial fence and the brackets look like this:

I have used Delorme stuff for quite a while mostly in the form of the Streets. I have 3 different versions of ones that plug into my laptop and they have/are working fine.foxtrapper wrote:Having nothing to do with Shopsmiths, I was surprised to notice we both have a DeLorme PN40 in common. An unusual GPS to see people use.
When I found out my etrex legend did not store the times when you saved a track I had to find one that did so I could geotag my photos... thus the PN-40.
Sorry for taking us off track in the thread but hey it even happens to me once in a while.
