Hi Everybody!

Post by nikbot »

I'm Niko, got my 520 last spring and gazed at it while turning the 8x8 shed into an 8x20 workshop. Finally i got it set up, got the manual and tuneup kit, and I think it's in pretty good shape. I'll get some pics in here ASAP, just found this forum while searching for how to use my new super dado kit.
Anyway, I have way more ambition than skill or experience in woodworking - but my dad's been doing it for years and is very happy to see my interests turn from motorcycles to this, so he encourages me with things like that dado kit.
I think the first project will be a box, once I get that arbor. I also have chisels and the lathe kit, which I'm pretty excited to try- haven't turned anything since jr high shop class 30 or so years ago.

I look forward to getting to know you all, learning from you, and probably will end up sharing some of the tough lessons that I tend to learn while broadening my horizons.

Greetings from San Jose!

Welcome to the forum, Niko.

Looking forward to hearing more of your journey. Woodworking is fun and with a Shopsmith , IMO, even more so. As you will gather, I enjoy my machines as much as I do wood working.
