Where is the best place online to order bandsaw blades and disk sanding paper? Just looking for a good source reliable and cheap!

For sandpaper you can try http://www.Supergrit.Com In Gettysburg Pa. They even stock velcro conversion discs for the SS 12" sanding disc.
For bandsaw blades there are many. Woodcraft,Olsen,Bandsaw blade warehouse and a bunch of manufacturers that will make the blades in the length you want. SS uses 72" blades +/- 1/2".

Hummmm. I never heard of that place in Gettysburge. I'll have to check it out.

It's on the Biglerville Rd. almost midway between Gettysburg and Biglerville on the west side. I think the road is the extension of Rt97 north of the G'burg square.

Have you checked with Shopsmith? I buy almost all of mine there.

You are correct. I have had three new bandsaw blades from Olsen break and they did not break at the weld!! No guaranty at all. I have gone back to the SS blades since then and I bought a selection of 6 blades during the last sale. Never had a problem with the SS blades.

I just bought an Olsen blade it was the only ½" 3tpi I could find for my non Shopsmith bandsaw

Personally have not used an Olson blade but friends who are MUCH more accomplished woodworkers say they are good blade, however,

Just scroll down to the blade function, click on the width and TPI a and the blade type (if an option) and it takes you to a menu where you select the length and voila you have a price and an order system.

They make it so easy to order, so that's why I go back. There may be better cheaper out there but I enjoy how easy it is to order. Only have purchased for a non-SS, so no SS experience on how they perform on one (yet), but never had a bad blade, but I clean their blades after each use. THIN weld so it only takes a minute to grind down the sides and they are ready to use..

Prices SEEM a wee bit better than Olson from various sources, but then there are many sources for Olson so you can probably get them locally or shipped much quicker.

With that said, my next resaw blade is this one

At $30 it's more than I have ever spent, but it comes HIGHLY recommended by someone has always given me the best advise.

In my mind there is no such thing as both RELIABLE and CHEAP when it comes to woodworking tools. Most often reliability comes at a good price. Also IMO, the more costly tools are cheaper in the long run.

P.S. Shopsmith bandsaw blades and sanding disks are well worth their costs.
