Caster sale
Just read the E-Mail from SS for the upgrade caster special. Seems that everything was stated in the ad except the price.
Are they supposed to be on sale? Or just an E mail special at the regular price?

You gotta go back and read that special again. Scroll down farther. The price is there.
I gotta go back and read it again because I don't think I got the price right. The price ($42.99 set of four) is there. That is the same price I paid but that does not include $10.99 for shipping.

Same as non-sale price
I bought these about 10 days ago for 42.99 (which I thought was regular price) but had a deal to knock down the price of a minimum order so in effect got a "sale like" price and then paid for shipping.
The woman taking my order (exceptional customer service!!) had said that they "might" be on back order or being built, but they showed with my order a couple days later.
I remember 30 plus years ago when I first had a 500 and the wheels would get stuck going through a thin pile of saw dust. Really looking forward to these!

Ya, 42.99$ is the catalog price, so what is the special ?
In the catalog page of the wheels you can upload the PDF
Owners Manual for Premium Caster Upgrade
see at the bottom last third of the page.
It is not appearing on the page's special.
Here is the catalog page :

Hmmm, never noticed that. Maybe they have been on "special" ever since they were introduced.camerio wrote:Ya, 42.99$ is the catalog price, so what is the special ?

I've noticed that the recent (within last couple of years) "new" products (i.e., casters, speed chart, drum sanding guides, lathe live center system, etc.) are periodically part of the e-mail specials, but the price is rarely if ever discounted from what the price was when they initially introduced the product. I think they are only using the "specials" system to market/advertise the new products, not for an actual "sale" on the new products.

Hmm, OKAY. Clicking on the email takes me to a page that is entitled "Shopsmith Premium Casters" UNDERLINED in red. I tend to click on anything that is underlined. Underlined items often are links (as is the case here).
Bill, if you do not routinely click on underlined items, there is no telling what you have missed.
