Review of IWF in Altanta

Post by Ed in Tampa »

If you want to see the latest tools go to http://www.woodworkersjournal.com/iwf2012/index.php

It is review of the IWF International Woodworking Fair just concluded in Atlanta.

Interestingly Shopsmith was highlighted but not for their tools but for their sandpaper.

Also I found two other sites that said this years fair was really reduced in size. Many manufactures did not come. It was noted that because of the economy most manufactures were in holding mode and weren't bringing out any new tools. Also cost to exhibit prevented many manufactures from the IWF.

Did you see the great new Powermatic Variable-speed PM2800B Woodworking Drill Press? It has a cool new feature where you can dial in the exact speed via a variable sheave control. Seems to me I have seen that feature on a drill press before. LOL!!!!
