Interesting there is no serial # on this
Look at the pic it' don't look like it's been removed it's like it never had one.

Newer machines only have date stamps and no serial number stamped into the plate. This was effective Dec 1987 and on.

Newer machines have a sticker with the date code and no stamp on the metal plate. My 1991 has a sticker only with the date code. The sticker can and sometimes falls off.
