E-mail specials

Post by ryanbp01 »

Well, I guess I need to go to confession soon...

I couldn't pass up the 2 current e-mails on the outfeed table attachment and the new drum sanding attachment. I figure if I use my two floating tables as an outfeed on the end table as additional outfeed support in addition to this plus becoming more efficient on the drum sanding, it would be worth it. Since my wife ordered a new HDTV and we can't find a corner stand entertainment center, this should help in cutting the pieces. I'm currently working on the design.

Justification and rationalization often go hand in hand. I jump on any woodworking task my wife asks me to do because it helps me to justify my rationalization that I need that to do this. So far it works.

My e-mail address must have been dropped from Shopsmith system. I just realized I have not been receiving the E-mail specials.
When was the last one sent out?

They come twice a week, Monday and Friday I think. Usually when one expires they send another the next day. I think you usually have 4-5 days to respond.

Here is the direct link, although I believe it is on the red navigation bar on Shopsmith.net under specials. Probably on Shopsmith.com too.

The weekly email specials sure beat the Father's Day sale & other sales Shopsmith used to offer back in the catalog days. Up until last year, whenever I ordered something, I'd get a special code for 20% (I believe) discount on my next purchase within 5 days. I'd often buy something cheap & use the code for something more expensive.

I think if one is interested in large savings on a limited number of items, the demo's and Webinar are the best deal for a PowerPro, Tilt upgrade, SPTs, Mark 7 and maybe a few other things. Ebay is another source of items which sometimes sell for more on Ebay than the current Shopsmith special. That must hurt when someone in a bid fenzy when they learn they bid more for a used item than they would of for a new one from Shopsmith. C'est la vie.

The new sanding drum sleeves, 2" each, couldn't we just band saw some we have into 2" pieces to try it?

All you need is:
(1) A 6 inch sanding drum,
(2) 6 inch long sanding sleeves, and.
(3) a band saw blade you don't much care about:D
