Odd, the most rabid (and I mean the foaming mouth type) rightest-of-the-right right wing Canadian politicians are so far left of the most liberal left-wing Democrats, yet we seem to have the same disfunctionality. If a world where just about everyone else hates your guts and wants to kill you just to see you dead, you'd think you guys would learn to get along better.

There are no 100% right answers to our problems, there are no 100% wrong answers to our problems, there are only the solutions that we can think we might be able to get done. 'Compromise', COMmon PROMISE. I'm just sayin'

LOL, you wouldn't be-lieve the lowest of the low depths the Dems are slithering to just for a few (like 3) bucks.
I usually hit "Mute" on the remote when I sense a political ad rolling in, but lately I instead turn the volume up. The nonsense coming from the Left is getting funnier and funnier as it is (lies are annoying but really bad lies are FUNNY!), but when I see or hear the begging for a buck or three it just cracks me up. WHat's next- are they going to be pleading for spare food stamps?

I do truly hope that for your sake the day doesn't soon come when you realize- the Hard way- that your situation is very unusual today.
But that day may well be the same day the 47% of Americans happy today not paying fed income taxes grows to 51%. Then the majority of voters will have incentive to elect only people whose prime objective is to remove you from your money to pay THEIR welfare tab.

I think you need to be aware of this quotation from CNN Money:

Nobody's really talking about this slice of the pie, but Mitt Romney's "47%" who pay no federal income tax include several thousand of the highest-income households in the country.

If highly paid persons pay no income tax, it is our fault. We the people have allowed this to happen. If we the people worked to change the tax codes, those people would not be able to avoid paying taxes.

Now, if these people don't file or don't report their income, they just might be guilty of tax fraud and should be in jail.

A family of four making only $26,000 probably should not be paying taxes but they should be filing. Are these folks the 47%. I don't think so.

Yes, they are included in the 47% (actually 46% this year). And they do pay US Federal taxes, just not income tax.

Do we have to be so blatantly partisan here? I mean, this is our community. Would you talk to your neighbor like this if you weren't sure he was on your side? Can't you see this is insulting to anyone who doesn't agree with you? Besides, this must be SO monotonously boring to our friends up North and overseas.

Tis certainly election season. Ive got no problem with the partisan points . Heck you aren't going to vote in a non partisan way. On that day you will be as partisan as you'll ever be.
