Places I find woodworking inspiration
SWMBO and I just got back from visiting her folks in North-Central Florida. The weather cleared Tuesday afternoon, and we took a drive to The Stephen Foster Culture Center State Park at White Springs. The main building has a wonderful museum with many pianos and dioramas. The bell tower/carillon building houses another musuem with more dioramas. The pianos amaze me and the dioramas are works of art.....both the cabinets and the models inside. I posted some photos on my web site from the trip. The cabinets for the dioramas look like they are made from walnut. The workmanship is amazing.

The last picture is pretty intriguing until we realize that it is the reflection of the sky onto the calm water of the river, I guess ... ?
Thank you very much. Very informative.
That last one kinda messes with your head, doesn't it?
