Single Bearing Poly-V Quill

Post by billmayo »

I am interested in acquiring some single bearing Poly-V quills (1961-1984) that I will have machined to accept a second bearing. This may be of interest to anyone upgrading with the PowerPro kit as I do not believe you will have any need for your single bearing quill in the future. I can work an exchange of a double bearing quill for the single bearing quill. Contact me at annbill.mayo@comcast.net if interested. Thanks.

I plan to machine some more Gilmer Drive quills (1954-1960) for the second bearing later this year. Shopsmith did not and does not sell any double bearing Gilmer Drive quills.

I'll be the first in line when you have a Gilmer double bearing quill available!

Culprit, just bring yours over. We can machine the one you have.
