Name that tune...

Post by lightnin »

When I got the PowerPro together and powered it up it played a little tune.
Somewhere I had learned that they did and was not surprised but it sounded
hauntingly familiar and I thought it was probably from an old video game.
I was laid off my regular job in the early eighties and worked fixing video games,
pinballs, Juke boxes, etc.
So I have all those old tunes that I heard exceedingly often submerged in my grey matter.
Every time I fire up the PowerPro it sounds so familiar. Today I thought for a moment
I had finally nailed it.... but no....
But the first half of it does sound a lot like a midi version of Innagadadavida.

It's not that loud but I think I might be able to get a good enough recording of it
to make a ringtone sometime.

What is the tune?

I didn't know what a Shopsmith was...
Three days later I owned one...
One week later I was rebuilding one...
Four months later I owned two....
Ok Ok, I'm up to four now...

Your guess is as good as mine! I guess you could call the PowerPro a strong but delicate.... Iron Butterfly :) .

Since you mentioned video games, I'll try a personal guess. Sounded a little like the tune from Bosconian to me.
