Have There Been Major Changes

Post by dusty »

at ebay?

I just recently bid on and won a couple items at ebay and have received confirmation of the order from ebay but have heard nothing from the seller about the shipment.

This seems unusual. It seems to me that on all my previous transactions I received confirmation from the seller all most immediately.:(

I usually write to the seller through Ebay and ask him to confirm that the shipment has occurred or the date of it and by the same token, I tell him that I will let him know when it is received.
Dealing directly with the seller that is usually appreciated by most of them.

Depends upon the seller.

I guess I am just too impatient. I've been told that before. They might all be right.

But...when I order toys, I want to play with them.:(

I have had it take a couple of days to hear from a seller before. Take a look at the ad and most give themselves some fudge time, out of town, etc. I do when I sell as I travel a great deal.

A few weeks ago, I ordered a printer listed on Ebay. After a week of no response, I asked the seller using Ebay about the status. The seller said Ebay never notified them of the sale. It took another 9 days to receive the printer. By then, I had brought a printer locally so I returned the printer and am waiting for the refund.

It was not easy but I finally have a package on its way. I just hope this is the doings of a particular supplier and not a new trend with ebay in general. I suspect the problem is with the supplier because once I got comments from the supplier paypal reported the item to be in shipping.

All is well that ends well.:)

You are oh so right. I have never been a patient person but I seem to be getting even more impatient as I grow older. I did not inherit that characteristic. At least not from the male figures in my back ground. My father and grand father had the patience of Job. My grand father-in-law was equally patient.

I HAVE NO EXCUSE.

My recent experience has been the opposite. Most items have arrived within 3-4 days, so I believe the seller is the 'problem creator'.

HOWEVER; recently there have been strange things happening while viewing listings. Pix not matching description on the overview, but correct pix with the details. Makes me suspicious some programmer(s) are tweaking - which may also affect the seller notification.

FWIW even with the 'slow' shippers the e-bay messages are spit out immediately(and often when ya arranged for a cash at pickup payment).
