Yep!

Or the posting that makes a big issue out of "it cost $xxxx" or it sell new for "$xxxx".....usually way too high when they "justify the price" in any way.

One of the issues with either CL or eBay listings, from a buyer's perspective, is that most of them state "local pickup only".

As a buyer, I'd be willing to pay shipping, if only the seller was willing to crate it up properly!

And it really limits your pool of potential buyers if you specify local pickup.

Doug

Thanks to all that responded to my question, "What is it worth". benush26, you cheat ----- .:D I appreciate your buyers response. I guess a lot of people want to get by for as little as possible. fgrule, let us hope that the Shop Smiths going to goodwill, will find a good home. Thanks to all for your responses.

Don't laugh, Dusty!

We have a store (not "Goodwill" per se) that sells all kinds of 2nd hand tools, building supplies, etc. I've seen Shopsmiths there in the past....but it was before I was interested in them!

I have picked up things for woodworking there at incredible prices. Plus used cabinets for my shop.

Sometimes, it's worth hanging out:)
