Here is my 54 all spruced up and ready for business. Its not Micky-D but its way better than she started out (look up a couple posts) and runs pretty smooth for being 10 years older than me. It was a journey that was time well spent, as I now know alot more about the machine than just on and off. I still prefer to grip the outside of the speed dial instead of using the little handle, it seems like it should be slightly easier to turn the speed up than it is.
Thanks to all who guided me along. Could not have done it without your help here on the forum.
Next stop, the wood store.....

It looks great but needs some sawdust. Now it's time to start the overhaul on the scroll saw.

He had a ("B" headstock) with a hole. He had a logo without a clip.

He initially used a rubber grommet over the post and slipped the grommet between the 'fangs'.

I know this since I swapped one with the clip for his without(I needed it for an "A" headstock).

His was a LOT shinier!:D

My saying 10E and 10ER was a 'senior' slip! Sorry! So much for perfectioin!:D

Well, I pioneered the application of a new product for this issue. Velcro. Simple and seems to hold ok with the vibration ect.

Since there is no access hole, gluing it on seems viable!

or just get a diy pp upgrade.
