When I first got it I was blowing my 15 amp. circuit breaker when it was cool in the garage and I had the dust collector already going and tried to power up the SS with a saw blade or disk sander attached. This procedure also ensured that the speed was dialed down before attaching anything.
Warm it up?
Why?;)

Because it is cold and stiff.:) I am fortunate to not have many days when it is cold in the shop but when it is cold everything is effected - especially my old bones.

I went out this morning to redo the video with the steel sanding disk attached. I cannot find the breakout box that allows me to measure voltage and current simultaneously during turn on. I know it is there; put away somewhere safe and easy to find when I need it again - but I can't find it.
Anyhow, there is a very noticeable difference with the disk mounted. It comes up to speed slower and it continues to spin much longer after power is removed. This really is not surprising; it is consistent with the laws of motion.
BUT, it does not kick the breaker or noticeably dim my lights.
Bear with me, when the thief brings my breakout box back, I'll post a new video.
