Router table insert

By now you have probably heard the term snowbirds really applies to Arizona and Florida. Folks in Texas really welcome winter visitors and proudly name them Winter Texans.

Where are you hangin' now. We spent some time in Pharr and McAllen after leaving Montana. We found our time there was a lot of fun, filled with good friends.

Have you noticed most of the Winter Texans are from the Mid-West? Seems AZ is host to most of the folks from the mountain West, while Mid-Westerners go to TX, and Easterners migrate to Florida.

Well, we're a little closer than in summer I guess, I'm in Green Valley AZ for the winter. I'm much better with sketchup than I used to be so I've been thinking of doing a SU of it. Maybe by the time you get home there will be plans..... Free of course.

My cabin and garage/shop are at the foot of the north side of the Beartooth Mountain range in south central Montana, more or less north of Yellowstone National Park. Winters find me in Dallas (where I worked before I retired).

Paul, I am more than pleased to learn of your improving SketchUp skills. Another of your inspiring projects is the drum sander you describe more fully on the Lumberjocks forum. I do not have in my small shop that kind of sander and a SketchUp file of that project would be great. When I get ready to start that project, you probably will hear from me! I have done no turning, so I have a long way to go before I realistically could tackle the sander project.

I mis-spoke in my prior email. You did provide a SketchUp model for the drum sander, but when I briefly looked at the model, I did not see any dimensions. The dimensions may be there, but I did not not know how to turn on that feature. Hank
