Where is the serial number located on a Shopsmith bandsaw?

My bandsaw has the aluminum table. Could it be on a missing sticker?

The only Shopsmiths that I have with a more or less permanent serial number are the headstocks. Even those are on the vent plate which is removable.
All of my other equipment that has serial numbers are tagged with an easily removed serial number sticker. Some are paper like and some are sorta like an aluminum self adhesive tape.
To preserve some of them, I have put a piece of translucent tape over the sticker. That won't be permanent but it should hold for a while.
A couple years ago I tried to acquire replacement serial number stickers from Shopsmith but with no good results. I suspect that they are fearful of me misrepresenting my equipment.

[quote="randyrls"]Bob]It could be missing the serial number/date code sticker. If you got a manual with the bandsaw, some of them have the date code stamped on the back cover. You might look inside the saw, though not a normal placement for a bandsaw, strip sanders and belt sanders are often stickered inside the frame.
