I'm posting this separately since I had to do an extensive search to verify that the correct length for the link-belt was the same as for the Mark V. IT IS NOT. The correct length is 32 (NOT 35 lengths). Installed it today and perhaps I should also post this on what I found when I did an exhaustive search on this site.
I replaced an almost new belt and the link-belt is much quieter and seems to run smoother. I haven't run anything under stress yet but don't anticipate any difference.
The Harbor Freight belt has 69 links; enough for a Mark V and a 510.
510 Link Belt

The Harbor Freight link belt has slighly longer links than the Power Twist link belt. I believe there is only 2 different lengths of 1/2" link belt links existing so 35 links for the Power Twist and 32 links for the Harbor Freight belt as starters.
I recommend operating the link belt of 20-30 hours to wear in the links segments and then check the internal clearance between of the link belt at the top of the control/Idler sheaves to the headstock casing when the speed control is set to SLOW. If you get a whinney noise at the slowest position, it is the link belt hitting the motor shaft so I adjust away from SLOW a letter or two until the noise stops. The link belt is still too short when you have the whinney noise at the slowest position. I may add or remove a link at that time to get the link belt even or just sightly above rim of the control/idler sheaves.
