I guess the solution for tightwads like me would be to charge a toll for using all roads and bridges, surcharges to clean up my neighborhood after a disaster, fees to sail my boat on the local lakes, a surcharge to fund the navy, army, coast guard to protect my property, a surcharge to repair the dams and dikes that protect our city, etc. etc.etc. The way I see it, they are going to get my money one way or the other, Fair tax, Income tax, Sales tax, user fee, tolls surcharges, or whatever you want to call it.
Would I Owe Federal Taxes?

I've always why Warren Buffett doesn't do just this very thing.
Outside of putting it in his mattress, his money IS spurring the economy, of whatever country he is saving, investing, or spending it, at. (I just hope it's here.)
Dusty, I do, sometimes listen to political talk, just not Rush Limbaugh. I do know who Nancy is.
I can't figure out why the Mormon Senate Majority Leader is OK, but the Mormon Republican Presidential candidate was so vile-ly hated, for HIS religion.

People's logic is often difficult to understand. You point out a couple obvious contradictions while mentioning still a third.skou wrote:.......

The Republican Presidential Candidate was also disliked because he was wealthy while Warren Buffet and Bill Gates are "well recognized" for their unselfish charitable contributions. Gates and his wife are filthy rich but I guess that is OKAY. He must have worked for it.
