Using tools etc. from one craft in another (like woodworking).

Oh, if you want to find a replacement for that nail holder, look at Lodge's 6 (or 8?) compartment cornbread pan. It makes pie-shaped pieces of cornbread, and may fit your bill. It has a handle on it, like the frying pan it is, leave on, or cut it off. They've also got a pan, with 7 (there's one in the center) hemispherical sections. Lodge cast iron, out of Tennessee.

I work for a sheet metal Fab shop and a while back we got some .125 x 1.000 rectangle punch bodies in that were incorrect for the turret punch that we have. Since we received a credit for them I decided not to throw em out...

It looks like the one on the right in this pic. I think a little grinding and a handle this might make an excellent custom lathe tool.

What do you guys think?

Today I bought a small plastic tool box from Albertson's Grocery store. It was a sale item - cost $1.00. Perfect for holding car axles and wheels in the bottom and separate compartments in the top section for holding only those that I am working with during a sitting.

That would depend upon what part and how deep and how hard it is.

The shape will get in the way.

Probably worth a try, but time needed may be excessive.

Only way to tell is to proceed. I would start with the smaller.
