I have to disagree.. I don't care for the gold/brown/copper color scheme at all. But I love the greenie color scheme.

I did not equip with Shopsmiths in spite of the setups but because of them.

I just repainted my Shopsmith light grey. After seeing the different colors, kind of makes me wish I painted it different. Should have painted it Ryobi blue and yellow to match the rest of my tools. Not going to go back, completely take it apart, strip the paint, and repaint now.

But, if I were not painting mine in New Orleans Saints theme, I think I'd go with the Greenie scheme.

These are all absolutely fantastic. There is getting to be so many rebuilt/reconditioned/restored Mark 5/Vs that soon there won't be any old ones.

Once reworked like these have been, an old headstock is as good as a new one of same description. The rebuilds will likely last another 25-40 years.

This is why once torn down, I can not understand why anyone would rebuild without installing new, quality bearings.

You guys have all done great. I luv it.

Super nice job! Another beast is resurected. :) I refurbished my 54 and I like using it better than my 520. I've kind of dedicated it as my "lathe-band saw-sanding disk" station.
