Why do people sell relative new headstock on ebay?

Post by cllib »

I'm just wondering why people are selling their 1992 headstock.
is he/she upgrading to PowerPro? or is he/she getting a cheap garage sale deal then dissembling the SS and putting the parts on ebay? :D

Most Used Shopsmiths are worth far more as parts than they are as complete machines. So probably option 2 above.

It's interesting that we that know the history of SS parts have the idea that a 20 year old part is "relatively new".

Well, everything, including incest is relative. I am relatively new to this forum. Although I think I predate most of you (except JPG who may be a few days odder). Oops! Misspelled that but decided it might have been a Freudian slip so left it as typed.
