I have a 500 that was later converted to a 510. The only spt I have had for the last 20 years is my ss band saw until last week when I bought my ss jointer.
I don't know if it would be considered an spt or not, but now I have my eye on a ss biscuit cutter accessory. Have any of you guys had any success with it?

I have one. It can be somewhat persnickety, but careful use will yeild decent results.
Not too different from using dowel pins. Same potential mis-alignment, but only in one plane(height).

I have my original 1988 510(now a 520) fully restored, a 500 mini for driving my SPT's (Bandsaw, Beltsander and Jointer) complete 10ER (including legs and casters) for drilling and disc sanding only, Pro Planer and DC 3300 Dust collector. Man I love ShopSmith!!!!!:D
