What do you use for your craiglist and ebay search criteria?

For craigslist I use shopsmith and "shop smith" (with the quotes or I get everything with shop and smith in it) anyone use any thing else??

I use an app on my phone called "CraigsNotifica." Yep, that's the name of it. As if they were going to call it "CraigsNotification" and got lazy and couldn't type in the last 4 letters. But it's a very handy app.

My Shopsmith search includes:

shopsmith, "shop smith", "total shop", "super shop"

I have a separate search for sawsmith and "saw smith" with a much larger search radius. I really hope to find a Sawsmith radial arm saw some day!

Interesting catch on the Sawsmith

This ne popped up on the Orange County CA craigs list

I don't know if $575 is a fair price or not, I don't have room for a dedicated table saw anyways.

That's pretty much it for me - for E-Bay, if I'm looking for something specific then of course I refine the search with the advance search option - i.e. say I want to see if there are any speed changers, then I search for "shopsmith speed" and it helps weed out the other 8+ pages of stuff. Also, if I'm specifically in Mark V mode, for instance, then I will use the exclude words option in advanced search, i.e. "10E" and "10ER", thus removing any items that are specific to these items (or at least that mention these model names in their title or description. In general, though, I just do the big broad searches you noted and will toggle between sorting them for recently posted and ending soonest, so I can keep tabs on the new and the soon to expire.

I've used searchtempest.com -- it allows you to enter a zip code and then search the various Craigslists within a radius of so many miles. It is not anywhere near as effective as it once was in pulling up all items relevant to your search term, so don't count on it giving you a complete list of what's available. For Shopsmith items, you need to use both "shopsmith" and "shop smith" on searchtempest or for that matter on Craigslist if you want to find what's available, as using "shopsmith" won't show listings where the seller spelled it "shop smith."

Must not be available for iPhones. At least my search of the App Store didn't turn up anything.
