Really nice work!
I've never tried working bois d'arc (or Osage-orange, hedge-apple, Horse-apple, or Bodark as it's known around here). I would expect that your tools have to be REALLY sharp. Years ago I tried cutting a dry trunk from a bodark tree with a chainsaw.....was an eye-opening experience

Yeah, didn't realize how much work I had taken on. I'm almost done but then I only have today left to get it done.

I really thought we'd be seeing more stuff by other folk in this thread. I truly enjoy seeing what you guys are doing. It inspires me to aspire to higher skill levels.

This is a display rack for my son's Karate belts. It is made from some reclaimed pine shelving that was painted in its previous life. It was ripped and cross cut to size on the Shopsmith, and the curves on the upper part were cut on the Shopsmith bandsaw. The holes for the hardware were drilled with the Shopsmith. The finish is padded shellac which I need to rub out. The top display may get my son's name in wood letters if I get the time. The large rack 2nd for the top will be for his black belt (when he earns it). In use, the belts are folded over themselves and then tied on with string or elastic.
