I have a bandsaw question?

I am replacing my old rubber tires with the new premium urethane tires. Last night after getting the old tires off the wheels I noticed that the lower wheel isn't 100 % true. Is this going to crate a problem with the new tire and blade when get everything installed correctly? If it will is there any way to retrue the wheel?

Have you tried running your band saw? Blade might wobble if the lower wheel is not in the correct position

Please expand upon what ya mean by "lower wheel isn't 100 % true".
SS 500(09/1980), DC3300, jointer, bandsaw, belt sander, Strip Sander, drum sanders,molder, dado, biscuit joiner, universal lathe tool rest, Oneway talon chuck, router bits & chucks and a De Walt 735 planer,a #5,#6, block planes. ALL in a 100 square foot shop.

The lower wheel has a slight wobble in it. I've always thought it was a little rough running. Can the wobble be taken out of the wheel, or will I have to replace it?

You can get rid off the wobble in it . You have to adjust the lower wheel properly. Do you have your
manual? I believe that the steps are in the manual,so you may check for it for proper adjustments.

I be curious about those 'steps'.

Sounds like a bent wheel.

Wobble might mean bearing or shaft issues. Are you sure all the wobble is in the wheel?

I'm pretty sure wheel has a slight warp or bow in it. I didn't think to check to see if it is a shaft problam. I will check to see if the shaft could be bent slightly.

After thorow inspection it looks like the wheel is strait. It look like it has a slight bend to it because of how it was cast when it was made. The side groves that the tire sits in are not the same thickness all the way around the on the wheel.
I think it will be fine.
Should the wheels be fairly warm when you put on the urethane tires to help them set up? If they do I will have to put a heater in my garage as it is only 55 to 60 degrees in it right now.
