Google Chrome

Post by joedw00 »

I downloaded Google Chrome, and have notice that a lot of things on the forum are different than on Firefox. One of them is on Google Chrome there is no Quick Links, just Open Buddy List. I like Chrome, but I like to look at todays post. Is there something I can do to change this?

Is "quick links" referring to something in this website? I have only ever used chrome on my android tablet to use this site. I do see "open buddy list" though. I didn't know I was missing anything.

Google Chrome
It is a little small. Just use CTRL - Plus to make it bigger.

I use Chrome and just select "New Posts" in the menu bar. Another difference is there is a selection in the menu bar for marking the forums read. This option does not show up in the IE.

I just checked and New Posts have 14, and Today's Posts have 23, so by just looking at new posts are you missing some?

Marking the forums read is in the Quick Links.

I don't use IE at all anymore. I mostly run Google Chromium (Linux version of Chrome). I used to use mostly Firefox and still use it now and then. I also keep Opera browser. Once in a while I run across a site that I want to see badly but that will not render well enough to to read. They all render pages a bit differently.
Chromium handles attachments a little differently on this site.
I have probably puttered with a couple of dozen browsers over the years and some (that nobody ever heard of) were really awful.
I used Safari on my old iMac but I haven't even had it on line for some time.

In Chrome, after checking "New Posts" and then using "Mark Forums Read" when I am done reading the new posts, clicking "New Posts" a second time will give me this option to see the posts from the last 24 hours, if there have not been any posts made since I marked them read.

I think that this is the same as what you get with "Today's Posts" under "Quick Links".
