Ha, when the wipers quit working on my mom's 49 Chevy, my job was to reach up under the dash and operate the connecting arms from the motor by hand in a back and forth motion until we reached our destination. I think it was operated by vaccum and the hose sprung a leak but it was raining and I didn't know anything about cars then. I know this is off subject but it brought back some fond memories of that old Chevy, which is what I learned to drive in. :D
