Are bandsaw plastic left covers available used anywhere ?

Are SS bandsaw plastic left side covers available used anywhere ?
If yes, how much do they sell for usually ?

Recently bought a bandsaw off eBay and was very disappointed on arrival to find the left side plastic cover completely destroyed. Thank you to the seller for not even caring enough to pad the saw beyond the cardboard box itself, and to UPS for the half dozen or more free throws that broke the housing up this badly.
I'm pretty sure from the extent of damage plastic would have broken with styrofoam padding also.

I haven't taken it out of the box to see if the main casting, 11" wheels or blade guides survived or not yet.
Not the first time UPS employees have used my parcels for anger management.
UPS will void any insurance claim due to "insufficient packaging" and ship it back to the negligent sender for free,
so I need to find out how much it would cost me to fix first.

Before taking action I would contact Shopsmith regarding availability and pricing (including freight) of a replacement cover, then contact seller to determine if he prefers it back or is willing to make a deal regarding repair. Hey avoiding a complaint against his reputation must be worth something. Jim

If you bought it on eBay and used PayPal you have recourse. You must follow up NOW. I had someone sell something advertised as NEW IN BOX which clearly was used and in bad shape. PayPal refunded the entire charge. I had to prove that I shipped it back, which I did, and then it was returned to me by the Post Office because the seller used a false address. So, I got his merchandise and the purchase price was returned.

Since then, eBay acquired PayPal and it is easier to complain and get a refund of the price. FRAUD is frowned upon by eBay. So, file a complaint, NOW.

If complaining to eBay doesn't work, I have an extra cover that would cost you only shipping charges. Or less, if you happen to live in Central Ohio. It's in good shape except for a few spots of overspray from the previous owner, and a surface finish blemish on the INSIDE of the cover. That blemish would be from yours truly testing to see if I could use laquer thinner to clean off the overspray. (Hey, it worked just swell on the powder-coated cast-aluminum parts! )

When SS ran a special on new covers for about $40, I figured that was cheaper than the time and money to install both a dust collection port and a viewing window for the tension spring, like the new ones have. I couldn't bring myself to toss it in the trash, though, so it is just taking up precious shop space, sitting in the shipping carton from the new one, until it finds a new home.

I see cast bandsaw right side housings all time time on eBay but left side plastic covers rarely seem to be available there hmmmm.

I would rather not return it if repairable, because of high shipping costs.
