Dusty: Not sure who Alan is, but if you look back to post #10, you will see that the M VII has the pivot and the posts with no offset. The M VII table tilts 90 degrees in both directions. The pivots being below the table allows room for the stop screws etc. i.e. The post/pivots are NOT offset from each other. It does require that the blade slot be offset(the blade is further from the tie bar).

If this were simple, Dusty would have figgered it out long ago.

A lot of 'distractions' within sight.

A few fruitless paths were followed by me prior to realizing the cause of his consternation.

Initial 'assumptions' have been discovered to be erroneous.

Methinks it helps to have Dusty's extension table before thee.(or the ability to visualize it from pix he has previously posted - assuming the ability to recall them:D)

He is still thrashing over why the post/pivot offset, but we may never know absolutely why that is. Only the Mark VII has them 'aligned'.

I hated all you guys in 10th grade geometry who seemed to grasp this stuff when I didn't and I still don't but I no longer hate you? Perhaps it's because 90% of the time you post things that someone who is not a member of the "selected few" can understand and really appreciates.

It is no secret and in the eyes of some it is no success. Then there are also those who just don't give a flip because they don't have and/or don't want an outfeed table that tilts, raises and lowers with the main table.

The critical issue is getting aligned with the Main Table Pivot Point. I began this entire venture thinking wrong]20232[/ATTACH]
