He Who Hesitates Is Lost (or at least backordered)
When the Speed Reducer recently went on sale, I couldn't make up my mind whether to get it or keep looking for a used one. I finally decided to pull the trigger on Monday evening (the sale was through Tuesday) but I got the dreaded backordered message.
Oh well! The lesson is if you see something on sale that you know you've wanted to get, don't wait!

I finally received my Speed Reducer on 11/15/13 after waiting 8 months. Nice item still sitting in the box , had to put the wood turning on hold because of cardiovasc surgery 11/30/13. I'm getting the shop set up for turning, hope to have ready before Spring. Have faith that it will appear.algale wrote:When the Speed Reducer recently went on sale, I couldn't make up my mind whether to get it or keep looking for a used one. Sorry, the dates should be 11/15/12 for the speed reducer and 11/30/12 for the reline job in the artery. Still have faith that Shopsmith will fill an order, they're at the mercy of vendors the same as the rest of us.JPG40504 wrote:Are you a prophet, or did I 'miss' a year?
If I where a prophet and could see in the future, would have seen the massive aneurysm (6.1cm) that showed up in a very fortunate Cat Scan.
