As long as the purchase is made in person at the store, even if that person is a stand-in for you, its perfectly fine and no one would hassle you over it. Selling online or over the phone would be a different story because its considered a different market. Your idea should be perfectly fine though. We have people do it to us all the time, taking advantage of special rebates at shows they travelled to, and its not a concern. Just glad they bought.dusty wrote:Thank you for the feed back along with the time and effort to make it available. I am a very slow and poor reader and it gets even worse when the text gets legal or technical.
This may well say that Shopsmith can not do that but I still am not certain (either way).
Remember, my only purpose was to suggest a way that someone could take advantage of the demo discounts without themselves being at a demo to make the purchase.
If Shopsmith will sell this way, it might make the demo prices available to people who otherwise can not get to a demo.
Just a thought that I hope is helpful to someone.

Anything bought at the Lowe's demo is rung up through the Lowe's checkout, which means that any applicable military discount does indeed apply.
Dittos Culprit. First time I was up close and personable with the PP was at Lowe's in Fargo, ND. I'm a retired veteran and the discount attracted me too. But from the people that were there (and there weren't many) you could tell the price wasn't selling, or creating any buyers. I'm sure the sales rep. left Fargo without a sale and ND has been relatively immune from the economic depression since 07. I don't think this bows well for the "Mother Ship". Well, tempted as I was I didn't pop for $1200+ upgrade. Then to add insult to indecision, I lost the CD on the way home. The price list you posted looks like what I didn't loose.

Sam,
Thanks for the welcome. I have actually been a member since 2006, but just recently posted. It's hard to believe, but I bought my first Shopmith in 1982 at the Shopsmith store in Columbus Ohio. It was actually a demo at the store and I bought it for $800! At that time, the store was on the east side of Columbus on Broad Street – but then relocated to the north side of Columbus on Morse Rd. and then that store closed a few years later – I think around 1995.

Power Pro Webinar on March 30 & 31 and April 1, 2013
Hey everyone,
I sent an email to Doug Reid yesterday about the trouble I had with the webinar last November. He responded today, and also sent me a link to the webinar that will be hosted this coming weekend. I have put below the response that Doug sent me, along with the link to the Shopsmith page to register for the webinar. I'll try this one on Saturday and see what the discount is and I'll post later.
Hi, Charlie,
Sorry you had trouble signing on. I am sending you an invitation for an upcoming webinar.

Just sign on to one of those and that will generate the current discount order form.
Thanks for getting back to me.
Hope this helps some of you...Charlie

I don't see why not. What if where you are from they did not have a demonstration.dusty wrote:When an order is placed (at any particular location) the buyer must provide a "deliver to" address.
Does that "deliver to" address need to be in the area of the Lowe's that is hosting the demo?
Example: If I am visiting my brother where he lives and we happen upon a demo one Saturday morning, can I become an impulse buyer and order the PowerPro there but have it delivered to me here?
