I have my OPR mounted on a 500 shorty and find it very useful. I use it all the time. It is dedicated to the 500 because it's a real pain to have to install and uninstall it everytime you want to use it.

The OPR is on the right, along with my Planer, 520 and dedicated 10ER Drill Press. I store my Jointer on the other end to keep it it in balance.

My OPR is free standing. I also have a Jointech router table mounted on the SS. The OPR only sees service as a pattern router. It could be an asset in other operations but, I never think of it at the time.

I just purchased an Overarm Router last Monday. The new treasure included a Milwaukee 1.5hp router but nothing else including instructions Last night I watched the sawdust sessions related to overarm routing attached are the links to the sawdust sessions

I tried multiple times to get an OPR. I've been in he running for 3 different standalone models. Seems like the standalone have some variances.

Some have a natural wood top like Stumpbusters where he router can only be mounted in the OPR arm. They seem to be the older models, but have the same functionality of the later models. Other have a melamine top with the ability to mount a router below too. The plate varies too where some also a have a replaceable insert where you can install a guide pin for pattern template tracing. This is the one I've tried to get. Looks like Stumpbusters has a pin, which everyone I've looked at is missing the pins or pin insert.

I think the pattern routing looks like one other more interesting features. You use the guide pin on the bottom to trace a channel in the pattern. Unlike plain template youn can trace the inside of a pattern too.

I also have an OPR. I like seeing the bit, and I like having the ability to horizontal-route or vertical-route with respect to the table. My OPR is affixed to a Mark-V-500 "chassis". I leave my PC690 in that rig all the time; it's my go-to station for routing.

I apparently haven't been "dumped" from the list. However, I must have been moved to the lower part of it. I frequently read about e-mail specials here before I receive them in e-mail. Perhaps I've been given lower priority because I have nearly ALL of the stuff Shopsmith makes?

This was part of the twice a week deal emails. Maybe they had to clear the list to make room for the thousand new sign ups a month.
