That is a gruesome schedule for anyone to keep; however, it appears that there must be some one besides Mike Young involved. There are a couple periods with two demo's going on at the same time. I see this as a good sign.

Now if they would just change these demo's back into Traveling Academies.

I almost soiled myself, ShopSmith is comming to Oregon. I think the last time they were in this area they were with Lewis and Clark.

I was noticing that. My guess are there are at least three people doing demos. Last demo was a guy name Dave whose picture I believe is on the demo site. Who is the third person doing demos?

When they were doing Traveling Academies, the stops were three days long and normally involved only one person from Shopsmith. They sited cost as the reason for why the TA was discontinued. Well, I don't see a lot of cost differential between a TA and a Lowe's Demo so why not bring back the TA's.

Lowe's does group training sessions for things like laying tile, hanging doors, painting walls, etc, etc. From that I conclude they have the space. Include "Operating My PowerPro" to the list and we can pretend like it is a TA. Might not even have to pay as much to attend as we did for the TA.

The commissions are probably better on selling power pros than teaching. Also, Shopsmith is able to focus on their core goals of selling equipment with the Lowes demos. A couple hundred dollar class would have to pay out a much higher percentage to make it worth the time for an instructor.

So who is the third demonstrator? Look at he schedule, I doubt someone is hosting demos at IN, SC and CA at the same time. I mean that has to be a plus if they are adding a third demo person?

Please. Allow an old man a simple dream, OKAY. Yes, it might be a pipe dream but I sure do miss the Traveling Academy. It would be really neat if they would restart those sessions.

Real hard to tell without knowing where they are based. It seems to me that Mike Young was associated with a web page that might tell but I cannot locate that web site.

I'm getting really bad about that sort of detail.
