I used to have a similar machine. It was sold by Laguna Tools and called the Robland X-31. Here is a link to a similar machine Laguna Tolls is now selling: http://www.lagunatools.com/combo/combo-nx31

It is very similar to the Felder with respect to functionality but perhaps slightly at a lesser quality. I bought my machine in 1999 for around $6K and see it is now going for over $10K!

I sold my X-31 and bought a used Shopsmith as I was moving to a home with a much smaller shop. The X-31 was a fine machine for what it did. Changeovers were quick but heavy piece parts did need to be moved around and stored when not in use. The machine had a mobility kit which allowed you to roll it around the shop as required fairly easily. With three separate 240 volt 3 HP german motors the machine could not get bogged down! I still needed a stand alone band saw and lathe. Quite an investment!

I'm very happy with my Shopsmith and only occasionally miss the Robland!

I've been watching the Felder video off and on through the day. I'm humored at how the narrator pronounces "aluminum." al-you-minnie-um
