Killed over 100 flies . . .

Post by db5 »

with just one swat and a stomp. I was washing my car and noticed two flies copulating on the license tag. They paid no attention to me so I swatted them and they fell to the driveway still going at it. I guess they were determined to finish or die trying. Who knows, they way those things reproduce I may have killed a thousand.

Not funny. Been there, done that. It was a cop shining his light into the car window when we weren't even doing anything - yet. He was the first member of the SWAT team I met (before you were ever born probably).

I am reminded of the old joke about the old maid who hated flies,

until she opened one.;)

Could be. Were you with the Suffolk County PD stationed in Riverhead, LI in 1966 near the SCCC campus on Riverhead Rd.?
