The same upc code is not a good sign. The lack of the word original on the first(almost gone) can is a puzzle.

Are ya looking at the red stripe for 'original formula'?

If there is not another 'kind', there is no need for the words.

That 'goop' certainly does not look like 'paste' wax.

I noticed the codes(I assume production codes) went to 8 letters/numbers on the goop cans. The older can code has 6.

I do hope the Johnson 'family' is ignorant(currently) of de goop! Who wants to tell em?

Is it possible a storage issue has altered the texture?

Naaah!:(

Hopefully a recall is appropriate!

Looking at the last picture it seems someone named Carol Hansen is the one to ask. I used some this wax when I first bought it and it didn't seem to be anything special but I don't have any of the old kind to compare to :(

Per my earlier post here, I had a can from PO when I got my SS. Last week I purchased a new can although I already had plenty.

Can from PO on left, new can on right.

Looks curiously like chilled chicken stock doesn't it? :D

Although the color is different, the consistency and feel is the same. Maybe..no harm, no foul? Maybe....chinese knockoff. Thats it! Blame it on the Chinese! :D

Went by big orange this aft. Grey goop with 8 digit code. :( Runny, not same 'viscosity/feel'. Effectiveness to be determined.
