Part number for warning label sheet?

Post by joshh »

Saw this on eBay. Is it still available from Shopsmith or no longer made? I tried calling customer service today, but my patience wasn't up to the task.

It appears as though they are listed with the item they would be mounted on, click on a few of the labels here and you will get pricing information for the headstock labels.

EDIT: I know I'm not crazy...there WAS a reply as post #2 which is now gone. :eek

Thanks for the reply! I'm looking for SPT warning labels, not the headstock. The sheet would be perfect for us that are restoring a full assortment of shopsmith stuff.

I am looking for the bandsaw warning label, not shown in the diagram. The parts list shows a label part # 514525, backordered. I don't know if this is the warning label, and I'm betting it's no longer available since the new bandsaw cover says the labels are "built in"

I am also looking for the jointer warning label. It seems to be put on the feather guard now, but the parts diagram lists it as NA. I'm guessing it comes only with the guard (which I have, just wanted a pretty label to match the restoration)

If you need hard to find labels that are only available as NOS on ebay, etc. and you're not too strict I suggest designing your own on the computer and having a local sign shop print them out. To have them print of a customer supplied .jpg is fairly cheap. At work our warning labels and capacity tags run between 10 cents and a buck from the printer and we aren't getting a huge discount.

I've done this on ATV graphics before, and priced it but gone a different route on a few motorcycles. You just draw it yourself on the computer. Way cheaper than the $$$ some people want for the real thing.

Thank you! If I can not get them from shopsmith, I'll definitely go that route!

If you could read the instruction sheet in the picture, you would see the label part numbers are as follows:
513923, sanding disc
513978, lower saw guard (old style)
513920, belt sander
513975, jointer
513919, bandsaw
513922, jigsaw
They show up as good numbers online. Unfortunately, I do not have a part number for the sticker package. Hope this helps.

I just ordered replacement labels and asked for some for my new unit that weren't sticking as well. Got all in about two weeks.
