Inspired by Steve at WWMM and decided to make a potting bench.
The frame work is pressure treated 2 x 4's, butt joints with outdoor glue and coated deck screws. The 1 x lumber are (is)? pickets from the fence that blew down during the winter. It's PT also. Given that it's 25+ years old it's in great shape. Size 48" wide and 60" tall. I'm going to put a couple coats of an outdoor stain on it.

I added a coat of outdoor stain and put it in a corner of the yard near the compost pile.
I'm sure my wife will use this more than I. When it was completed she said, "after 42 years I finally get a work bench of my own."
I did help with some plantings yesterday and I learned two things. Jeeze gardening is tough work and second the mosquitoes are nasty this year.

Nice job! Like the design and I bet it is plenty useful for who ever the gardener is at the moment.berry wrote:I added a coat of outdoor stain and put it in a corner of the yard near the compost pile.

Interesting color, what is it called(who makes etc)? I've been looking for another color for a few things and that just might be it.

It's one of those outdoor stains that is a 'solid', not translucent, more like paint than stain. Water based, easy to work with. I did no prep to the wood other than to vacuum the surface to remove dirt.
