I would think they receive a volume discount so it would be in their best interest to generate a bunch of sales before submitting their order.

I'm still waiting for my bandsaw table extension BTW...I could have bouight one used on E-Bay about 3-4 times over by now in the time I've waited for it. No big dead but what does bug me is they never provide any sort of e-mail update saying "sorry, this item is still backordered but we expect to have it by XX-YY-ZZ (or just simply we'll send it when it becomes available)" - I've never heard anything since it was ordered and I was informed on my shipping invoice that it was backordered...makes me wornder if they even remember I ordered it at this point.

Oh ye of insufficient faith! Even after a year or more, they remember.

If only they 'procured' as well!;)

If you know your account number and phone number, you can check your order status at the following link:

http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/chks ... hone3=nnnn

replace the n's after acct= with your account number
replace the nnn after phone2= with the first 3 digits of your phone number
replace the nnnn after the phone3= with the last 4 digits of you phone number

Good news/bad news. Package arrived today containing a nice new Nova G3 chuck, 40mm jaws and wormwood screw :) , but missing the Shopsmith adapter and pin jaws  . When I called, the CSR wasn't surprised that my order was incomplete and promised to contact Teknatool about the missing items.

Others have reported missing adapters on here before as well. Maybe someone at shopsmith can make a cuss out call to someone at teknatool to make them aware of the multiple packing errors.

I'm happy you got your chuck...I'm jealous even if you can't use it yet :D

Ahhh! but he gets to gaze upon both it and the instructions and touch and operate it and get familiar with it and thus be adequately prepared when the adapter arrives.:)

Still waiting for mine to show. :( Figure the horse and rider got tired around Missouri or Colorado. Weather cleared up today and no snow, so maybe will see it by next week

If mine is sans SS adapter I can use some Bondo and just body putty it on to the spindle! Might be a "bit off center, but shims should help!

Mine arrived (complete) on Tuesday :p but received a call yesterday from Linda asking if it had arrived and if all the pieces were there and even asked me to verify while I was on the phone.

I am sorry for those who received theirs without parts, but I think that this effort by Shopsmith show that they really do care greatly about their existing customers!!! :D

As always, just my 2 cents,

Ben

A USPS Express Mail box arrived today. It contained the missing Shopsmith spindle adapter and pin jaws from my delivery last week. The chuck and its parts all appear to work great and I'm looking forward to learning how to use them. :)

To those of you who are still waiting, yours should arrive soon.

Ken

PS- Does anyone know if the chuck's native thread is 1 x 8 tpi?
