Something looks a bit off.
Maybe it's the pinky toe.
The rest looks just fine.

Saturday night while frog gigging (yes I am a hillbilly) I called back to a guy that invited himself that there was cut washed into the bank he was walking towards. He didn't have any gear, change of clothes, experience, and most importantly no spotlight. Long story short he stepped in a small hole too but fell in the pond and wound up covered in muck and run off from the cow pasture. It's debatable who came out worse, your pic or him.

That picture is looking straight at the ankle shot front to back.

Here is a 'normal' for comparison :)

For sure.

Back in the first week of March I tripped on a cord (biggest hazard of a small shop with everything on wheels) and took all my weight on my opposite heel. Just a bruise, but still sore enough to interfere with exercise and such. I want to get back to my ping pong play; the last time I tried, set me back a long way. Wearing arch supports and doing stretches now, feel like I am getting there.

Have you tried orthotics? Not the doctor shoals, not the good feet store, but the real deal from the orthopedist? Pricey but some insurance covers it and they will change your life. I had to get a pair after a foot injury back before I had to place "ex" in front of "athlete", covered by team insurance thankfully, and really helped get better.

Timely posts and ideas. I have worn orthotics for nearly 20 years. They are costly but make the difference between walking and not for me. I have arthritis in most joints in lower limbs. A month ago new ones were ordered the order was lost and the company finally admitted to having lost it. Thus they have been ordered again as of last Friday. My major point here is don't sell them short. I always get three pairs so I can use a fresh pair each day. For the last couple of months I have had to sit on sidelines for more time than I spend in shop. If you need them please do not hesitate. Terrific investment. Jim

On April 21st I had a partial knee replacement on my right inside knee. Although bad knees run in my family, I finished it off last summer rebuilding our backyard fence - replaced 33 fence posts. The surgery went well and I finished therapy a few weeks ago. Really good walking without pain for the first time in three or four years. Since the surgery I have wondered if orthopedic inserts might have helped prevent the inner wear of my knee. Bill for a new partial knee about $40,000.
