so, a 510 stuffed into a Chevy Impala?

I have read a few posts about people getting these broken down pretty well, i am looking at a pretty good drive to look at one so i want to make sure that i can bring it back if its good. its a 2003 impala so pretty good trunk space? Chances?
Two each Shopsmith Model 500, 505, 510s. Sawsmith Model 500003. Most of the SPT goodies aside from the compressor and the Planer.

Take a big hammer also :D You could always strap it on the hood like a big deer. Your headlights are going to be shining up if you are driving at night.

moving a 510

I hauled a 510 with a bandsaw, jointer and belt sander from north Carolina to ohio in a Toyota camry. bought it on ebay, should have seen their faces when I knocked it down in about ten minutes and loaded it into the trunk and back seat.

I had the whole front seat left and a good portion of the trunk when I picked up the 510 in Houston:

I couldn't get a MarkV, Scroll Saw and Power Station apart fast enough to load them in the back of my 4Runner, nothing compared to your adventure!

cool, that mission turned out to be a 500 with a gimpy headstock. He said the HS didnt have near the torque it used too so I shied away from it even if it was a good deal. I am wondering if that is one of the symptoms of a HS that has had the speed changed while it was off?
