I've built quite a few computers for people, and install a fair amount of freeware. Using the same programs over time, I know what not to check "yes" on. Some of them, I DO check "yes," because I'm going to be installing that program anyway.

I run both IE and Google Chrome, and have few issues with either.

Those highlighted words are NOT from IE or Chrome. They're from some "unwanted" software.

Today was a good(bad!?) example. Updated google earth and afterwards 'discovered' chrome is now my 'default' browser when firing firefox up(it checks like other browsers do). These clowns all pitch their stuff if they are not 'the default'. They also make changing it to 'them' easy!!!;) Sheez!!!!

Would you rather pay $20-40 for every app you install?

I thought all this 'advertising' was supposed to 'cover' that.

This be territorial expansion!;)

Since I have paid a bundle over the years for old style distributed software I am amazed at the availability of very excellent 'free' stuff.

It is the (sneaky)bundling I am grumbling about!
