Sometimes You Just Get Lucky

Post by algale »

On vacation visiting the wife's family in upstate New York. She heads off to a used bookstore and comes back with one of Nick Engler's Workshop Companion books on Joinery for $2. Now she doesn't know who Nick is or his connection to Shopsmith. Great little book with lots of useful info and some of the photos were even done on a Shopsmith 510!
Gale's Law: The bigger the woodworking project, the less the mistakes show in any photo taken far enough away to show the entire project!

I just picked up Nick's book on workbenches from that series. the hardbound versions are pretty decently priced on amazon used booksellers. not quite 2 bucks though!
Two each Shopsmith Model 500, 505, 510s. Sawsmith Model 500003. Most of the SPT goodies aside from the compressor and the Planer.
