One thing to consider is moisture. I have a 10' x 10' shed shop. It seems to collect moisture during the winter time, even here in Bakersfield, California. I put in some vents, but they are obviously not enough. Without a lot of paste wax and considerable vigilance, my jointer and universal toolrest both tend to rust in the wintertime.

Yeah, thats a big concern in Texas too. My jointer rusted the next afternoon after i evaporusted it lol. I bought a Tuff Shed from Lowe's and they are running a pick three options for free right now so I picked up the radiant barrier, ridge vent, and anti-bug decking upgrades. i can throw up some side vents pretty quickly so hopefully that will help.

I have been looking at those for lawn equipment. How big did you get? Have you put it up yet, if so how hard was it it put together? Did you put it on the ground or build a floor up off the ground?

i am getting the 10 x 16 premium tall barn with a 4' wide loft at both ends and the main door in the middle of the side wall. i have a jacked up disc in my lower back so lifting beams overhead for assembly of this thing isnt an option anymore so they are going to do the installation sans painting. i'm having them do the shingles as well since i'm not a fan of doing that lol. I have a packed down level spot in the back yard that i will bring a load of bottom sand in for drainage and then they can install the 6" galvanized steel beam subfloor right on top of that. the 3/4" treated floor decking should stay high and dry. they will come out and do a free site survey before beginning construction on the shed (they build it in subassemblies and then ship to site) and that will lock them in on not charging me any fees for unseen stuff. For instance, they will charge a 100$ if the install site is more than 100' froma power outlet or more than 200' from where they can unload the shed.

My shed is a 10 x 12 tuff shed. I have four floor vents and a functioning cupola. it keeps the insides cooler than ambient by about 15 or so degrees in the summer, and keeps everything dry in the winter. I will be adding a gen set as my set up is remote from power.
