There is a little girl in Baltimore that received a double lung transplant recently who is now getting ready to leave the hospital.
This child would be dead right now if it were not for a federal judge intervening in her case and overruling Kathleen Sebelius who ruled that the child should not have the surgery. Thank God for at least one level headed judge!!! Can anyone say "Death Panels"?

I'm not sure this applies, because this situation of too many people needing parts, and not enough parts to supply them.

Which means, that someone was going to go without.

That Judge just put someone else on the "death" list.

The situation (in a vastly more simple way) will appear, when the donor ER quills or spindles are all gone. Once those spindles get bent, replacement is about the only option. (And, that is the reason I'll ALWAYS have a replacement, or donor ER on hand.)

Impeach ALL democrats!

For those of us that still have common sense, the reasons are obvious and numerous!

It's not just the Democrats.

Kick ALL of them out.

Does the acronym "VTBO" mean anything to the assembled members here?

If you've been in office more than one term, you need to find another job.

I've only known ONE truthful politician in my life. Gene, remember my uncle Jake? Uncle of our Senator Jeff Flake? Jake was the ONLY politician I respected, and that includes Jeff!

Jake is also the one that taught me what "servicing" meant. (Uncle Jake and his brothers owned the largest ranch around Snowflake, so you can guess what his definition of "servicing" was.) And now, his nephew is "servicing" his constituants!

I just believe that if ALL OF US who have strong opinions on subjects being decided by our Government would just VOTE - our lives would be a lot different.

Active participation in local government affairs is imperative; I believe actually more important than at the Federal level.

We all complain about "Congress" but they are the ones WE sent there to do our bidding and yet WE keep sending them back. Harry Reid and John McCain are two really good examples.

Dusty,

I believe the results of elections on both sides of the aisle since 2008 ARE the results of more people VOTING. Which is why some folks are trying their best to make it harder for certain folks to vote :)

You may have a valid point but the objective remains for the country's affairs to be "managed" by a majority vote of its "citizens". That necessitates that all and only valid citizens be allowed into the voting booth.

To this end, our existing voting laws need to be validated and changed where ever necessary to accomplish that. That will not happen for the upcoming elections but "we the people" need to persist until it happens.

Single party dominance is suppose to be impossible but that is what we have AND it seems to be the biggest struggle in Washington today. Elections are coming up soon and there is nothing more important - let me repeat - nothing more important to our Congress that to achieve control over that outcome. We put them there (either by our vote or by the absence of our vote) so for the time being we have no one to blame but ourselves.

That does not mean we have to roll over and play dead.

VAP: Number of votes as a percentage of the "voting age population" in the US.
VEP: Number of votes as a percentage of all "eligible" voters in the US (subtracts non-citizens, ineligible felons, etc).
