Sketchup Capabilities

Post by dusty »

Is it possible, using the "free" version of Sketchup, to put threads on a piece of round stock.

I have not, in the past, attempted to do this but now I would like to but have not be able to. In fact, doing anything with a curved surface has been frustrating.

It is possible, Dusty. I saw it explained on Fine Woodworking's on-line mag. a while back in their SketchUp blog "Design.Click. Build". It was probably a couple of years ago, so you might have to search for it.
