How to remove the pivot pin?

What size is the roll pin that holds the pivot pin in place,and how can I remove it? I’ve tried several big punches and couldn’t drive it throughto remove it. Is there a way to pull it out? Should I consider drilling it out?Pivot pin: in the right end, allows pivoting to the vertical position.
I disassembled my Shopsmith to move it cross country. Thepivot pin blocks access to the set screws holding the way tubes, so I wanted toremove the pivot pin. I managed to loosen the set screws just enough to removethe tubes, but would like to be able to loosen them more, and then tighten themwhen I replace the tubes.

Did you remove the two retaining rings?

Are you using 'pin' punches?

The tension pin must be driven all the way through the hinge pin. There is a hole on the back side for it to go through.

No it will not 'pull' out.

Notice the absence of the retaining pin on the post above. Of there is a pin, there are no retaining rings.

When did they start using retaining rings? With the double tilt?

Bought mine in '78 (#23600?) and it has a roll pin.
5/32 - thank you. I had some that were big enough to cover the whole pin, but it didn't move. I see the hole for it to exit as it is driven through.
